As a constructor and professor of engineering, Mr. Li graduated in Industrial and Civil Architecture from Harbin Engineering University, and earned a master’s degree in business management from Perking University and Fordham University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Renming University of China. He once served as the executive deputy director of Construction Engineering Testing Center and the director of National Research Center of Testing Techniques for Building Materials. Since Oct. 2010, Mr. Li has served concurrently as the director of CSUS Green Building Research Center and the deputy secretary-general of China Green Building Council. Since May 2015, he has acted as the deputy general manager of China Construction Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd. Once he was dubbed “Advanced Individual of Architecture Energy Saving and Technological Innovation” and “Model Worker of National Architecture System” by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the PRC, “Advanced Worker” by China Academy of Building Research in 1999, “Golden CEO” by China Building Technique Group Co., Ltd. in 2001, 2002 and 2003 and won an Award for operation management in 2002. The subsidiary under his leadership was dubbed “Advanced Collectives” in 2000 and 2001. Li Congxiao was also responsible for several subject studies, including the 11th Five-year Plan, and involved in editing a few standards.
